Professional Rates and Fees
Rates vary depending on the service being requested. Depending on the type of service you are looking for to best meet your needs, the service may be charged at an hourly rate for consultation, interview or intervention or a flat assessment fee, which varies by complexity. Following an initial conversation with you to discuss your concerns and questions we will be able to give you a clearer idea of the rates for the specific service discussed.
While psychological services are not covered by O.H.I.P, many extended insurance plans cover services by a registered psychologist, either fully or partially. Health plans differ, so please check your specific provider to determine the amount of coverage you have for each session, the total amount of coverage you have, and if it is for the benefit or calendar year. Please note that at Spinnaker Psychological Services we do not bill your insurance company directly for re-reimbursement.
Our fees are determined during the first session and follow the current rate suggested by the Ontario Psychological Association and College of Psychologists of Ontario for psychological consultation and counselling. There is no HST billed on services of psychologists in Ontario.

Method of payment
Payments for services are due at the end of every session. A receipt will be given when payment is received. This receipt should be retained for your health insurance plan or income tax plan, if applicable. All invoices and receipts will have the name and designation of the registered psychologist.
Fees for clinically related telephone calls, letters, forms and reports completed outside of sessions are billed in 10 minute intervals at the clinical hourly rate and will always be discussed with you as such requests arise.
Fees can be paid by cheque, cash, or e-transfer.
